Welcome one and all to Podcast In A Half Shell; the podcast you come to when you want to hear two muppets talking mostly about the Ninja Turtles and partially about anything that happens to pop into their noggins!
On this episode, it's the day before Duncan's birthday and he and I make a very unprepared attempt at reviewing Series 1 of the 1987 TMNT cartoon! I do a pretty good job at not dropping names too much (have I mentioned before that I met Townsend Coleman once?!) as we both fumble our way through 5 frankly quite ridiculous episodes of TMNT. Duncan tries to come to terms with becoming old as we discuss our intense dislike of the Neutrinos, how baffling the Turtles pizza topping choices are and how problematic the re-imagining of Baxter Stockman might be. All this, plus we talk through the new trailer for TMNT: Out Of The Shadows, figure out why Daleks suck and LOADS more.

Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas one and all! As a very special gift to all you good guys and gals out there (and even the not-so-good ones!), Stacey brings you not one, but TWO (and-a-bit) WHOLE HOURS of mulled wine, whiskey and rum-fueled Christmassy brilliance/madness! Joining Stacey at The Parlour's Christmas Boozey Do are 3 returning champions of the podcast; Stacey's husband Rich, and their good buddies Phil and Adge!
In this end-of-year special, the 4 count down their Top Stuff of 2015, including albums, TV shows, comics and movies! Expect spoilers for pretty much everything that happened in 2015 (though weirdly they got through a review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens without spoiling a thing!) including Turbo Kid, Ash Vs Evil Dead, Supergirl, Inside Out, Master of None, Ant-Man and an absolute ton more. All this, plus made-up band names, tangents, arse panthers, Yule log scoffery and even a spot of singing!
So grab a mulled wine, a big old wedge of Yule log, and enjoy this festive (read: drunken) podcast offering!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this months' installment of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour! Making a triumphant return to The Parlour and promising to be nicer to Stacey than when he was last on is the lovely-jubbly cartoonist and podcaster, Luke Foster!
The pair talk about an inordinate amount of pop culture-y goodness; expect spoilers for Spectre and most episodes of Rick and Morty, plus some less spoilery chat about Supergirl, The Vision #1, Steven Universe, Art Ops #1, Adventure Time and a ton more besides. All this, plus Stacey tries to tackle to tough topic of comedy on difficult subjects whilst being super-tired and therefore fails miserably! (Basically, she's trying to say that she thinks pretty much nothing should be off limits comedy and jokes-wise, but you absolutely have the right to not find it funny).
Stacey regales Luke with some tales of her adventures at Thought Bubble Comic Con, Luke puts Stacey on his enemies list, and the pair absolutely lose their minds over Regular Show.

Major league butt-kicking is back in town (again) as Duncan and I make an attempt to review 2009's feature length 25th anniversary special, Turtles Forever! As it turns out, I'm much more precious about the 80's TMNT than I thought, Duncan is much more precious about the 2003 series than he thought, and we both suck at voice acting... On top of all this, we weigh up the pros and cons of sauerkraut on pizza, get distracted by unnecessary Shredder crotch shots, and go on tangents galore due to being drunk on cheese... We also chat briefly about IDW's Mighty Mutanimals and Casey & April mini-series'. Enjoy!
Warning: I drop a HUMUNGOUS SPOILER for the season finale of Nickelodeon's TMNT for no real reason... Sorry!

Huzzah, it's that time of the month again (no, not that one!); it's new Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour time! Joining Stacey in the room of never-ending (imaginary) cakes is no stranger to podcasting, the Trash Compactor's own Oliver Thomas!
Expect absolutely WHOPPING SPOILERS for the Rick and Morty S2 finale (and other Rick and Morty episodes), the season opener of The Walking Dead and Doctor Who, marginal spoilers for Your Lie In April, Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers and School Live, and chats about Jughead #1, Virgil, keeping out of people's personal space, Dark Souls 3 and tons more.
On top of this, Stacey forgets the word 'Cumworld' (how could you forget that?!), Oliver gets so excited he can't breathe any more, and the pair go on a bit of a tangent about orchestral music. Also, Stacey has wind. Sorry.

As it's International Podcast Day (someone get me a cake, STAT!), I thought I'd treat you all to this little gem/mess; Episode 0 of Comic Racks!
What's Comic Racks, you say? Well, it was only my first foray into the world of podcast co-hostery, along with my good friend and fellow nerdy bird, Iz. Originally airing waaaaaay back on 25th October 2007 on the Geek Syndicate feed, this episode was a huge ramblefest in which we basically tested the waters of podcasting, so don't be expecting any level of professionalism, or structure. We were both relatively new to the nerdy scene at the time, so also don't expect us to know what the heck is going on at all!
From the Geek Syndicate vaults: "We are proud to present Episode 0 of what we hope will become our sister podcast, Comic Racks, featuring the First Ladies of Geek Syndicate, Stacebob and Iz! Like Geek Syndicate they will be looking at all things geek, but from a female perspective.
In this preview episode they chat about the Birmingham Comic Convention 2007 as well as their fave TV shows, movies, books and superheroes."
I hope you enjoy this peek into my podcasting past; please be kind; I know the sound on this isn't great but we didn't really know what we were doing at the time, and also weren't sure we were going to do another episode so didn't bother investing in good equipment straight away!

Weeeeeeeeeeeehoooooooooooooo, it's Episode 43 of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour! As a birthday treat to herself, Stacey has not one but two brilliant guests for you this episode; the triumphant returns of Taylor Esposito and Lee Grice!
Keeping their fingers firmly on the pulse of modern pop culture, the three discuss Taylor's first experience of The X-Files as Lee gets nervous about re-watching Andromeda Strain. Stacey tries to review Turbo Kid without spoiling it (which is really, really difficult), and conversation turns to cartoons and how flipping great they are. All this, plus Lee reviews Cauliflower Field, Taylor can't talk about anything he's read because none of it is out yet, and Stacey discovers fanfiction...

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to Podcast In A Half Shell - The Anniversary Edition! That's right, it's been a year since Episode 1 came out, and so of course we decided to celebrate the only way we know how; with booze!
This time around, I get completely over-excited by having met Kevin Eastman, Lief Tilden, Michelan Sisti and Nick Palma, Duncan shares some thoughts on a few TMNT video games, and we both try to wrap our slightly tipsy minds around the absolute madness that is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (aka Turtles in Time). Having only just watched the movie before recording, you'd think we'd actually remember what happened... On top of struggling to figure out what the actual point of the movie was, we discuss how much of a tit April is, wonder why Mikey is backwards on a horse, and dribble over 90's Elias Koteas... Also, there's a rogue Christopher Walken impression!

Oh, well hello there! Welcome to the 42nd installment of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour; the podcast that always promises cake and rarely delivers! Joining Stacey in The Parlour (read: her kitchen) this month is none other than the man that introduced Stacey to comics, her husband and fellow nerd, Rich!
Somehow, the pair discuss an absolute TON of stuff in what is possibly the shortest episode of The Parlour to date, including their thoughts on Image Comics' The Beauty, MTV's Scream series, Marvel's Ant-Man and loads more. Also included in this episode is a genuine please for help regarding The Walking Dead (with an open letter from Stacey to Robert Kirkman), Rich's rant on Secret Wars and DC's new non-continuity madness, and the pairs reaction to the first two episodes of Documentary Now. All this plus Fant4stic, Wet Hot American Summer, and Stacey yet again losing her mind over the sheer awesomeness that is Rick and Morty.
