SPCP Live 2 Part 3: Friday O'Clock Live!
Jul 19, 2016
Jul 19, 2016
1hr 59 min
It's time for another slice of fried gold from the live broadcast! This episode sees Barry and I joined by returning guest, top notch actor and all-round awesome fellow Peter Spellos, and we get down to the nitty gritty of all things nerdy. We discuss Peter's improv classes (and why I should probably take them), Batman vs Superman, Lois & Clark, the DC CW shows and loads more! Following that, a wild Sarah Millman appears! There's more talk on cats, as well as musings on creating art, crudely drawn hedgehogs and much more besides.
Enjoy, and don't forget to plonk some pence into the Alzheimer's Society kitty over here: www.justgiving.com/spcplive2

It's time for the second part of our 24hr charity extravaganza! This time, Barry & I are joined firstly by lovely webcomicker and jolly spiffing lady, Sian Jefferson. We do a terrible job of properly interviewing her and end up talking mostly about cats... Following Sian we have writer and artist Nigel Auchterlounie (I am still marvelling at that wonderful surname) talking politics, comics and loads more!

It's been almost a week since the epic fun time that was Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour: Live 2 (officially Episode 53, because I say so), so it's about time I started dropping some of the bonkers brilliance into your earholes!
This first installment kicks off the show, including a terrbile quality version of the first 4 and a half minutes that were never aired, crudely ripped from a Periscope video by playing said video straight into my mic and recording it! Yes, I have been podcasting for almost 10 years, what of it?! On top of this, Barry & I have a wonderful chat with comic writer and artist Jamie Smart about all-ages comics, toilet inspecting, what exactly Donald Trump is and much more! Following this, we're joined by the lads of Fantasticast, Steve Lacey & Andrew Leyland, for comedy hijinks galore!
Enjoy! And chip into the Alzheimer's Society fund here (any and all donations are very gratefully received): www.justgiving.com/spcplive2

Hot on the heels of my interview with Kevin Eastman (alright, maybe it's like a month since that interview, but we recorded this pretty soon after) comes Podcast In A Half Shell Episode 12! In this installment, I reflect on my ramblings with Mr. Eastman, we share our thoughts on TMNT 2: Out Of The Shadows, and Duncan introduces a new segment about video games. Cor!
Listen in as we chat about allsorts of things regarding TMNT 2, like what the chuff Shredder is thinking letting Bebop and Rocksteady do anything ever, just how much awesome Donnie time we get, Pete Ploszek being better than Johnny Knoxville and loads more besides!
Enjoy!

Hellllloooooo! Welcome to Episode 52 of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour! This month Stacey is joined by her good buddy and fellow topic-digresser, Sam Harrison!
Sam brings absoulte chaos to the show in the form of a soundboard and a cat, which promptly causes Stacey to lose her mind and any semblence of podcast hosting skill... Once on track, the pair talk at length about The Flash, Supergirl, Arrow and DC's Legends of Tomorrow (expect spoilers) and the horrendous wigs contained within. As well as this, Sam tries to push Invincible onto everyone like it's some kind of comic-crack, and Stacey gets pretty depressed by Grave of the Fireflies... All this, plus plenty Teen Wolf, Action Comics, The Nice Guys, Anaconda and lots of laughs!
Enjoy!

Bonus: Kevin Eastman Chat

Cor, look, a lovely jubbly bonus episode of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour! 'What's this all about then?' I hear you ask, and I will tell you; I got the opportunity to speak to someone who created something that has been a HUGE part of my life. The TMNT have been there for basically my whole nerd life, and I love them to bits, so imagine my insane excitement and sheer terror at bagging an interview with none other than Kevin Eastman!
Listen in as I make some feeble attempts at appearing cool, calm and collected, whilst Kevin is very convincingly funny, brilliant and interesting! We talk about pizza flavoured beer, work-life balance, why it is that writers seem to love trying to kill of Donatello and more!
Weather Update: It's still hot as balls. YEESH.

Welcome one and all to Episode 51 of Stacey's Pop Culture Parlour! Joining Stacey in The Parlour for a spot of booze and chinwagging is her good friend, telly extra and music making guy, Neil Morris!
Neil and Stacey seem to suffer from tangent-itis this episode, as their chats on Captain America: Civil War, Jungle Book and Bad Neighbours 2 somehow end up being about asking stupid questions, not fitting TV audition briefs even though you clearly do and accidentally poking your eye til it sparkles...
They also talk about Lost, Deadpool, Batman Vs Superman, Suicide Squad, Supergirl, Flash and loads more besides! This episode is rather jammed with fun stuff, so get to listening and enjoying!

End Theme - 'Dangerous Woman' by Ariana Grande

After having run out of films to talk about, Duncan and I have turned to the 90's Image comic run for this episode of Podcast In A Half Shell! Hear what we think about the 'extreme' nature of the stories, Raph's facial disfigurement, Donnie's death (again), being a Level 7 ninja, scantily clad lady ninjas, whether athleticism and large boobs can coexist and much more!
All this, plus I watch an episode of Next Mutation and instantly regret it.
Enjoy!

Hi all!
So, I released Episode 50 a little early to make way for a Ray Gunn And Starburst Super Big Announcement Special featuring Holly Rose (creator of RGaS and voice of S.U.I.T), Ian Sharman (producer and voice of Castelan Lar), Dominic Westerland (Ray) and Georgia Humphrey (Starburst), and then the internet ate it. Or my laptop ate it. Someone ate it, and it certainly wasn't me. So instead, have this short but sweet snippet of me discussing Ray Gunn and Starburst (and why you should support S2 via IndieGoGo) and Zootropolis with myself.
Ta!

In a bid to do something special for this, The Parlour's 50th episode, Stacey, Duncan & Rich got super, SUPER drunk and talked mostly about Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. We're sorry...
(MAJOR SPOILER WARNING for Batman vs Superman, The Flash and Age of Adeline. MILD SPOILER WARNING for Cop Car & Daredevil S2).
ENJOY!

Hey everyone! I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU for sticking with this little ball of audio madness that is The Parlour. I have so much fun recording the show, chatting with friends both new and old, and discussing the things I love with anyone and everyone who cares to join in! You all know I'm never gonna stop doing this, right?! Y'all are stuck with me!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAahem, yeah, thanks for listening!
